DÜSSELDORF, Germany (August 19, 2016) – Crane ChemPharma & Energy today announced its participation in European Bulk Liquid Storage 2016 in Tarragona, Spain, on September 7 and 8. This year, Crane introduces the mechanical level control from the DEPA® accessories range. This makes it possible to record the liquid level with the help of a float and to switch the pump on and off autonomously. When used with cast stainless steel pumps, this new accessory is approved for Zone 0 (gas) hazardous areas and offers optimum chemical resistance to corrosive liquids, which in turn reduces maintenance and increases service life.

In addition to the exhibition of a DEPA® pump model with level control, Cranes Pumpen application specialist Thomas Walbröhl will speak at the conference on the application possibilities of compressed air diaphragm pumps in liquid tank reservoirs as part of the lecture series on 7 September at 14:30 pm. In his presentation, Thomas Walbroehl deals with the challenges of fluid transport and shows possible solutions using compressed air diaphragm pumps, especially in the field of complex drainage systems and critical installations throughout the plant.

„I am very pleased to present the use of ADOD pumps in liquid tank storage facilities at this year’s European Bulk Liquid Storage conference,“ said Thomas Walbroehl. „The industry is subject to very strict environmental controls for fluid management, such as leakage residues and general fluid handling. At the same time, these requirements must be met around the world without driving up costs. Air operated diaphragm pumps in general, and especially the flexible DEPA® pump, can serve as a replacement for existing pump systems that offer limited application possibilities and can also be used in a wide range of applications. Thus, they help fluid handling problems to solve.“

If you want to know more about the DEPA pumps and the new DEPA®® liquid level control, visit the Crane website or the booth where a team of technical experts will be at your disposal.
