HOUSTON (June 12, 2014) – Crane ChemPharma & Energy is pleased to announce the launch of the new Pacific® Forged steel gate valves, valves and check valves for applications in the energy, oil and gas, and chemical markets.
The new Pacific® Forged steel fittings have been specially developed for heavy-duty applications with strong temperature changes and prove that not all forged steels are created equal. Crane’s unique forging process and pioneering design reduce overall operating costs and ensure consistent quality and durability of each valve.
The characteristic design of this new series offers numerous advantages for the user, such as:
  • Superior forging quality (100% tested): Multiple ultrasonic testing is standard on all forgings and finished valves, so our customers can rely on consistent and consistent quality of valves, despite the most demanding process conditions.
  • Lower operating costs: A profiled shape and proprietary armour application process prevent cracking and detachment in Pacific®Forged steel fittings, reducing maintenance and plant downtime.
  • Short delivery times: 90% of our valve types can be shipped in less than 20 weeks.
„The pioneering Pacific® Forged steel fittings complete our portfolio with the addition of a high-performance forged steel line,“ said Steve Brown, Global Business Line Manager at Crane ChemPharma & Energy. „For our customers, lower operating costs and reduced downtime will be of particular benefit as a result of our unparalleled quality and superior design of the valves with pressure-supporting lid seals.“
