CRANE Flow Solutions™ Nominated for ‘Best Innovation of the Year’ Award at ADIPEC 2010

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (October 26, 2010) – CRANE Flow Solutions™ (Stand #07040A), a leading global provider of highly engineered fluid handling solutions worldwide, is pleased to announce the nomination of its Krombach® Double Eccentric Butterfly Valve for the Best Innovation or Technology Award at the ADIPEC 2010 Excellence in Energy Awards.  Used in fire-extinguishing applications, CRANE Flow Solutions’ red-coated, Krombach® Double Eccentric Butterfly Valve was nominated because of its quality standards and customized design.

Featuring a diameter of 50 to 900 millimeters, Nitrile seats and a hard rubber-lined cast body that prevents corrosion from salt water, our Krombach® Double Eccentric Butterfly Valve was commissioned for use in a high profile, crude-oil pipeline project in Abu Dhabi where a fire-extinguishing system using seawater was imperative to the completion and success of the project.  Additionally, this product features the ability to maintain the necessary water pressure over long distances in the event that a fire breaks out.
